It is now time for the first serious topic of this young podcast. Melissa and I discuss a variety of topics mostly surrounding our religious upbringing and how we are reconciling those beliefs as adults. We discuss some of the reasons that church is no longer appealing to us- money, politics, and an overall shift away from needing any kind of spiritual certainty. Non-religious people may not relate to the existential crises we have been going through. Devout people will likely take issue with some of our criticisms. But there may be some people caught in the middle who are processing what it means to have faith if it appears so much different than everyone else's, even the past version of yourself.
NOTE: Christian and Melissa proudly consider the preparation for and recording of this episode them breaking the "Billy Graham rule."
